After receiving negative feedback about the Thrive tablets (heavy, short battery life and cheap feeling design), Toshiba has quickly changed and introduces three new tablets (7.7 inch, 10 inch and 13 inch) with ultra-thin design and textured aluminum backs.

The common feature of all three products is that they are equipped with Gorilla glass, quad core Tegra 3, 1GB RAM and running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. These models possess a battery life of not less than 10 hours, 2 cameras,
Toshiba Excite 7.7 is equipped with AMOLED screen from Samsung while the 13-inch model owns a large screen with a resolution up to 1600 x 900 pixels. This is the first time, a tablet PC using ARM platform with such a large screen, was introduced to the market.
According to a report from the manufacturer, tablet users rarely take their tablets out of the house, so they decided to remove the mobile element to launch an Android tablet that has similar size as a notebook. The product will be released on 10/6 with a price tag of $650 for the 32 GB model.
In addition, Toshiba offers 64 GB model at a price of $750. Model 7.7 will also be out on the same day at $500 for 16 GB and $580 for 32 GB. The 10-inch model will be available on 6/5 at $500 for 16 GB, $530 USD for 32 GB and $650 USD for 64 GB.
